Against the Flow
Action against Orlando's Homeless continues. Consider Jackie's account of a recent attempt to get the mayor's attention. Things ought to be interesting for me this sunday. I hope it goes well. I've been keeping my eye out in Lakeland, looking for random chance encounters with homeless people. They seem a little more scattered out here, but maybe that's because It's a smaller area, and I'm just not seeing as many in general. I know a lot of guys in Orlando have been to Lakeland, but I repeat myself. I'm also looking for a second job! Maybe a local Christian book store.

I participated in the City of Lakeland 'Mayor's Task Force on Homelessness.' However, I was not able to make the last meeting. There is an individual that the Ledger reporter suggested that I contact to really get a pulse on what's happening.
However, I think the answer is "not much!"

Well what about the Lighthouse ministry? I hear good things about it from the people in Orlando...
It's hard to kick against the evils in culture. As Christians, we should encourage each other to "fight the good fight" and "finish the race."
