Yes I do Believe in Global Warming...

It's always in the news, some reason why the world is going to freeze and or warm up because of Human Activity.
Truth be known,
It's going to happen, Global warming I mean, and according to 2 Peter 3:10....
You hear a lot of the Jerry Falwell types talking about judgement, but I want to think about it a different way. Everyone wants to preach Hellfire and Damnation, and there is a place for that, but there is another way to think about judgement. One theme I constantly hear from skeptics is that "If God is so good then why..." fill in the blank. Murder happens, child molesters happen, tsunamis, earthquakes, all the natural and man-made evil. Judgement will not only answer the reasons why, it makes them right. Justice is coming...
I pray it comes soon...

Remember what I said about pride?
Today I read about 10 more dead Muslims. This violence is unending because of the nature of the religion. Jesus fought the Jews on the same issues as this. Remember some of his followers wanted to make Him king by force. He however said His Kingdom is not of this world. That the difference between us and them. We die, they Kill.
Let our differences be seen!
Christians, get your crosses.....

Full time at Publix, Strange things on Bags...

Hello!
I am unofficially full time at Publix now. That means mo mo-nay!
Something random:
I just noticed that my cashews have a warning about peanuts on the bag. ITS FREEKING CASHEWS!!!!!! That means you are eating something that is related to Poison Ivy.
I shouldn't have to say anymore than that.
It's important to get news from many sources and points of view. I'm not talking "liberal" "conservative" I'm talking stranger than that. I'm talking wider perspective. The question I ask when I watch the news is: "How does this all fit together?"
Sun-Tzu is watching you...
Ultimately I believe that to understand Satanic strategy, one must be familiar with "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu. That's because AOW is all about how to win without being obvious about it, and Satan is equally subtle. When I listen to coast to coast, I'm not hearing anything about UFO's, I'm hearing strategy. It's more important to me to think about what people think about UFOs than it is to actually contemplate their existance. I h0pe that makes sense. In short, when things are looking weird, ask yourself, How does the perception of this news affect people, and who stands to benefit from it if the majority opinion holds firm?
Think on it!

Haitian Elections Declare a Winner!!

Former President Preval is the Victor!!
Albeit in a strange way. Nothing is surprising in the Republique to me anymore. You'll hear me talk about the country from time to time. I've been there twice both times for religious purposes. I can speak a little Kreyol, it's the only language I feel I could hold a reasonable conversation with someone. It's a place I believe everyone should visit. Great reefs, good cookin', and the threat of being kidnapped is a plus. Mostly because that means more food in my case, it'd be a long time before anyone I know would be able to get a ransom together. Far as I know they might be glad to be rid of me.
I've been to some of the main cities in the country. Port-Au-Prince, St. Marc, Gonnaive, Cap Haittien, and the little town of Ounamet (Wan-A-Met). Sometime I might relay my adventures to you.

Believing and Serving in Christ

That's what BASIC does, and it's part of our overall call to ministry together.
Why is it important that the Church be a Church that is Believing and Serving in Christ?
Homeless people need to see Jesus, not juvenile deliquients. It is possible for God to be honored in even this difficult situation. I don't know Mr. Perez, but he at least sounds like he wants to BE B.A.S.I.C.
BE B.A.S.I.C. That's my encourangement to you today. James says in his Epistle:

Jam 1:23-25 (ESV) For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. (24) For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. (25) But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

Our Baptism serves as a pivot in our lives. Before it, the only thing that mattered as far as our salvation is concerned, is the fact that we've broken the "Don't"'s you shal not lie, you shall not covet, etc. Now, all that matters is out obedience to the law of liberty, which Christ commanded as "Love one Another." Love One Another: Our LAW!!!!!!!!!
Keep the Love!!

What a Long Strange Trip....

Last nite was the coldest nite we've been downtown in a long time.
The projected low was 32, I don't know if it made it that low or not. I do know the wind was HOWLING. The guys at Winter Park were great, one couple brought coffee and hot chocolate, and everyone worked to make sure we got things done as quickly as possible. According to the Grapevine, the Salvation Army had emergency shelter set up, but confirmation for that hid like a chicken in Haiti.
We served 26 people:
Ben, Darnell, Ann, "Shorty" (not James who says 'I don't Know'), Tracy, Ben, Leon, Steve, Curtis, Eric, Kelly, Mike, Steve, Lawerence, Herbert, Ernie, Vincent, Nigus, Jeremiah, Sherman, Tim, Brent, Ken, Ron, LeBron, and Redfeather.
Pray for them...
